I'm looking for a pair of Willett upholstered host/hostess chairs. They are approx. 40 inches high and 21 inches wide with a button tufted back. They really don't have arms, but the back curves down and forward a bit into the seat. I believe there originally was a paper label. If the chairs were recovered, the label will be gone. Thanks!

I just purchased a rope twist Willet chair set. It had several layers of upholstery which I removed to reveal what I believe is the original upholstery in good used condition with some minor spots. Can anyone verify for me what the original should look like? This is a golden colored satin type upholstery with yellow and green floral pattern stitched in a satiny thread that resembles a fluer-de-lis. Very pretty, but impractical for my family. A friend of mine as a old Hutch that that sits against the wall, and has a small table protruding from it with two table legs for support. The table pulls out and expands to seat approx 8-10 people. It is stamped Jefferson Woodworking EZ Slide Table, Louisville Kentucky. My friend won't part with his, as it was his Moms. Where can I find a table like this. I have resently purchased a used dining room set and I am trying to find out when it was made, and by what company. The table slide is marked Jefferson Table Slide MFG By The Jefferson Wood Working CO Louisville Kentucky. Under the table it is marked BF. CO . 5361/2 also 5361/2 3-12" Fillers, and the table has 3 leafs. There are 6 chairs, 4 straight back, and 2 captain with arms, and under the chair cushions they are all marked 536 1310. Hello, I am a Licensed Clinical Psychotherapist and writer living in Seattle, Washington who is currently doing research for a book on women's Dear John/breakup letters. I have 16 years of clinical experience working with our Nation's Veterans and have become interested in writing about women's experiences while warriors are away. A "Dear John" letter is commonly used term to describe letters from a woman to a man in the military in which she is ending a relationship. The expression was likely invented during the Second World War and is still widely used today. I am interested in interviewing women of all ages who have decided to end a relationship in this way. I believe that there are many untold reasons why "Dear John" letters are sent and I would like to gain a better understanding and offer a more compassionate well-rounded picture of the women who found themselves writing "Dear John…." I will be traveling to Louisville to conduct these interviews next month. The interviews should take approximately one hour of time. The interviews can range from strictly confidential and anonymous, to using identifiers (names, photos, etc). The choice is completely up to the participants and will be totally respected and honored by myself and the publisher. I have a Jefferson Wood Working Company EZ Slide (cherry) wood Table with four chairs and 2 end chairs (with arms)I inherited from my mother. It has a section that can be added to the middle once you "pull out" the table by using the mechanism underneath. I believe it was manufactured sometime in the late 60s or early 70s. My grandfather worked for Consider H. Willett furniture company in Louisville, Kentucky sometime before 1930. He recalls making walnut tables with "moon style" cuts "to make them look like antiques". I am seeking information about Jefferson Slide Tables as I was given one & know nothing about them. Mine looks like the bottom of a hutch when closed. We fell in love with the old Brown mansion at 414 Ormsby but found it was infested with black mold when we inspected. Have a Willett dining set(table, 4 chairs, 2 arm chairs) with buffet which was my mother's. Unusual modernistic style with brushed silver hardware. The buffet is low and long. The table legs taper--narrow at the top, wider at the bottom-- and finnished at the foot with a ring of brushed silver. All are beautiful cherry wood. Do any of you out there know about his style, that is apparently very different than the bulk of Willett. I am looking to learn more and ultimately I would love to find someome who could appreciate the craftsmanship to give it a home.
