2000 Housing Summit
The City of Louisville will host the 2000 Housing Summit on Thursday, October 19 from 8:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. at the University Club on the University of Louisville's Belknap Campus. The Summit will provide real estate professionals and other attendees the opportunity to come together to address major housing issues facing Louisville.  The conference will include speakers and panel discussions, with topics to include:

  1. responding to at-risk and homeless populations in City neighborhoods;
  2. increasing the supply of affordable housing units; and
  3. attracting more market-rate housing to downtown and other neighborhoods.

Jennifer Moulton, director of Denver's Community Planning and Development Agency, will be the keynote speaker.  Ms. Moulton, a nationally recognized expert on community development, architecture and urban design, was responsible for the redevelopment of Lowry Air Force Base and Stapleton Airport and the new development of the Airport Gateway in Denver.  Ms. Moulton will discuss with conference participants lessons learned from her work in Denver.
