Notes: The house is named for “St. Patrick’s Well,” an artesian spring well located behind the house. On St. Patrick’s Day in 1886, a worker drilling for natural gas found mineral water instead. The water was bottled and sold until 1960 by a number of companies, one of the most interesting named the Louisville Magnetic Water Company. The well ran dry in the 1980s and is now inoperable. The house has been a personal care home since 1950.
