Postcard Greetings
from Old Louisville

"Residence Section,
South Third Ave, Louisville, Ky"
Shows west side of the 1500 block of Third Avenue
between Hill Street and Gaulbert.
All of
these
homes are all still standing, but such a clear view can no longer be had
because time has added a lush wealth of trees and plantings.
The
tinted post card at the top was mailed in 1909, the black and white version
in 1907. For the enlargements, because of how the post cards were
printed, the black & white version is the sharpest image with the best
detail.
