Magnolia Garden, stood on the corner of 3rd & Avery from 1913 or 1914 until the 1920s. It was on the site of George Munz's saloon of the 1880s and Frederick Bruen's saloon of the 1890s and early 1900s. This elegant beer garden was successful until Prohibition. It lasted awhile longer as as Rainbow Gardens in the late 1920s. Masterson's now occupies the site, meaning that this corner has been a home to food and drink for over one and a quarter century.
