Named in honor of the fiery 19th C minister, this was one of the many Presbyterian churches of the Old Louisville neighborhood.  The building now serves as a private residence ...since the 1990s.  Card date 1905-10, printed for the Bagby-Howe Drug Co., it was mailed in July 1914.

The message on the back is interesting in its newsiness:

Leila Girl

I am going to move to YMCA in the morning.  We get paid $4.00 per day beginning Aug 1st for our expenses and we can spend it as we please just so we act in a dignified manner and put up at a respectable place.  I get a nice room there for $4.50 per week.  I forgot to tell you I chose a pair of $2.00 tennis shoes as the sum of my prizes won at Ravinia and that Otto Wohlfaurt was my partner who ran the other "leg and a half" in 3 legged race.

We have had fine cool weather the last 4 days.  Primary election here Sat. for US Senator.  Quite a bit of excitement. Parade went by a little while ago.  Hear you have a house that's fine.
